Star Plus’ biggest dance reality show is about to set the stage on fire once again in the sixth season of Nach Baliye. The show, which goes on air on November 9, 2013, will be telecast every Saturday and Sunday in the 9 PM primetime slot.

Nach Baliye is a celebrity couples dance reality show where 11 celebrity pairs, either married or dating, from various facets of life come on stage to dance. The three judges in Season 6 are Shilpa Shetty, Terrence Lewis and Sajid Khan.
The show, produced by Frames Production, will be hosted by Gautam Rode and Karan Wahi.

The list of these celebrities include Raju and Shikha Shrivastava, Raqesh Vashisht and Ridhi Dogra, Kanika Maheshwari Ghai and Ankur Ghai, Gurmeet Choudhary and Debina Bonerjee, Ripu Daman Handa and Shivangi Verma, Yash Sinha and Amrapali Gupta, Kiku and Priyanka Sharda, Bruna Abdalah and Omar Farooque, Sanjeev and Lataa Seth, Rithvik Dhanjani and Asha Negi, Vinod and Raksha Thakur.

Keeping the theme of the show as ‘Abh hadd se badega romance’, Nach Baliye 6 hopes to add a whole new exciting edge to the 11 couples’ relationships and their love stories.
“Dancing takes a bold turn this season with the new Nach Baliye. The chemistry between the couples and their romance will set the stage

on fire making it a must watch! There is nothing subtle about this season,” said Gaurav Banerjee, Executive Vice-President, Content Strategy, Star India.

Hemant Ruparell, Producer, Frames Production, said, “We are extremely delighted to present another season of the most enjoyed celebrity dance show Nach Baliye. Our endeavour is to sustain the legacy of success achieved so far and bring viewers much closer to their favourite stars. We are happy to partner with Star again in their vision for Nach Baliye and take it to the next level.”

“This is not something which is based on some foreign show that we are importing. It is our own original idea which is based on Indian psyche and viewership. The basic premise will not change. What will surely change is the packaging, the lights, etc. – and also the reason why each of them are in the show. This is going to bring them closer, win or lose. Nach Baliye is not a dance show. Dance is just an excuse to experience and explore the relationship,” said Ashish Golwalkar, Senior VP, Programming (Non-fiction), Star Plus.

Last year when the Nach Baliye finale had a hashtag created for it, it started trending on Twitter for 18 hours. Keeping that in mind, a new Twitter hashtag has been created which has already gone live. Social media especially is useful for connecting to viewers across the globe. Star even plans to adapt Nach Baliye to regional channels and is exploring the opportunities.
