One of the UNO broadcaster StarPlus GEC is facing the heat with ad broadcasters not willing to pay the new amount designated by Star Plus marketing team.
On contacting a source from an ad agency,he stated that “The broadcaster is not willing to change its decision of doubling the ad money on the ads played on the channel”.
All Star channels are going through the same tough times with broadcasters protesting the new ad rates
We contacted an source from Star Plus who answered our question on the basis on anonymity stated that “Ads of certain agencies are playing on Star Plus but the major ad agencies have backed out from paying the required money to Star Plus”.
On asking why the shows are going in each others time slot,he stated that “That Star Plus in order to compensate to the viewers of the channel is giving each show a 5 minute extra run which results each show clashing in each others time slot”.
He also told Newsroom that Star Plus will not take this weeks tam in its data which means that Star Plus GRP will be released next week but will not be counted due to the ad blunder.
The major reason for this is the TAX authorities have flawed the reports with incorrect data which resulted in no ad agency willing to pay the money to show their ads on Star Group channels.
To give audience a 3 minute break in the shows, Star India is playing promos of its other channels like Life OK,Channel V and Star Gold
So will this problem get resolved soon??
But doesn’t it look good with less ads……….
